The ADBA The ADBA in Historic Downtown
The Abbotsford Downtown Business Association
is a member of the British Columbia Business Improvement Association and the International Downtown Association. The mandate of these organizations, and the ADBA, is to rescue, revitalize, and promote the traditional heart of a city or town on a business, retail, residential, and heritage basis.
For the past thirty and twenty five years respectively the ADBA created and hosts the annual Berry Festival celebrating our farmers and Abbotsford’s standing as the berry capital of Canada, and the yearly Christmas Tree Lighting celebrating our Christian heritage and welcoming others to join in our winter festive season with their own traditions and beliefs.
We actively sponsor, host, and participate in Atangard Community gardens and initiatives, art, cultural, and heritage events throughout the year.
The Abbotsford Downtown Business Association is made up of merchants, service and community providers, and developers. They’re visionaries who volunteer their time to create and maintain the infrastructure of our vibrant and growing area, reclaim the heritage of the heart of Abbotsford, and promote shopping, and lifestyle opportunities available to our residents and tourists from all over the world.
The ADBA also contributes to the overall vision of Abbotsford through our individual and association participation in city and regional policy and policing efforts keeping Abbotsford and the downtown liveable, safe, and sustainable.
